IS1 self-performed penetration firestopping at the UM Troy project, sealing 480 cast iron pipe penetrations through rated floors and walls. Crews packed each penetration with pre-cut mineral wool and sealed it with CFS-S SIL GG silicone sealant, covering roughly 552 linear feet of penetration perimeter and restoring the fire rating at every pipe/floor and pipe/wall assembly on the job.
