Company History
Industrial Services was incorporated in 1987. As a specialty contractor, our expertise was in high pressure waterblast cleaning – 10,000 to 36,000 psi. We provided shut down deep cleaning services in automotive paint shops for GM, Ford, Chrysler, Jeep and Chevrolet, in plants across the country. Between automotive shutdowns we were contracted to provide waterblast services in oil refineries, manufacturing facilities, and with other industrial cleaning and commercial contractors. Our work has always been schedule driven, labor intensive and safety oriented. Our workforce has always worked in confined spaces, and in less than desirable circumstances, and we have always delivered. Before it was popular to be “Green”, our industrial cleaning and waterblasting operations offered our clients sustainable solutions for energy conservation and operating efficiency.
As competition became more prevalent, we soon realized we could not perform solely as a “waterblast” contractor. Over the years we continued to grow, adding ancillary industrial cleaning and vacuum truck services to our portfolio while expanding into new markets and locations.
In 2009, we began providing new construction services on industrial and commercial projects. This new construction services division is lead by Patrick Hulswitt who has over 21 years of experience in the commercial construction and industrial cleaning industry.
Today, our Ann Arbor Michigan location is the core of our day-to-day construction services operations. From Ann Arbor we deploy our new construction service crews, warehouse and ship filtration equipment and bid and manage all new projects/ inquiries within our services offered. Our Walbridge Ohio sister company, MWC Ohio, oversees our industrial cleaning service and filtration field support operations. Ideally located, our facilities are within a short drive of metro Detroit, Lansing, Kalamazoo, Saginaw, Midland, and Flint Michigan as well as Toledo, Lima, and Cleveland Ohio, and Indiana.
