THE JOB
The Godfrey Hotel is a ground-up hospitality build in the heart of downtown, the kind of project where the envelope has to perform against weather, deadline, and a fully occupied streetscape all at once. Industrial Services was brought on by Christman Company to install the building's air and vapor barrier system and the sealant detailing that ties it all together.
WHAT WE INSTALLED
Crews installed a fluid-applied air and vapor barrier across the exterior sheathing, tying into a self-adhered membrane (WR Meadows Air-Shield) at parapets, soffits, and other transitions where a fluid application alone won't hold the line. Window and door openings were detailed and sealed to keep every joint watertight before the curtainwall and glazing closed the building in. Work moved floor by floor as the structure came up via swing stage platforms and lifts to keep pace with the schedule without opening gaps in the barrier.
