IS1 handled the exterior siding caulking on the Discovery Trails buildings at the Detroit Zoo, working under general contractor Clark Contracting Services for owner Detroit Zoological Society. The scope covered sealant work across the animal exhibit and support structures — burgundy, dark gray, and black siding runs, CMU walls, gable rooflines, corner trim, and window and utility penetrations — closing out the building envelope so the exteriors are weathertight before the exhibits open to the public. It's the kind of detail work that doesn't show up in a ribbon-cutting photo but keeps water out of the walls for the next 20 years.
